Laura Spalding
Director, Legal Advisory
Laura Spalding leads the Legal Advisory team which serves as the domain expertise nucleus of PERSUIT®. As a former Corporate & Commercial lawyer, Laura spent her earlier career advising clients in various big law and new law environments and grew a passion and evangelism for the progression of the legal industry through technology and legal operations innovation. Having joined the founding team at PERSUIT early in its journey, Laura has spent recent years working closely with the world’s most innovative corporate legal departments including Shell, Meta, Citibank, UBS, Novartis and Walmart to harness effective change management, DEI and ESG objectives, spend management strategy, alternative legal pricing strategies and value based fee arrangements.
Maui Gevero
Senior Manager, Legal Advisory
Maui Gevero, Senior Manager of Legal Advisory Maui is a Senior Manager on the Legal Advisory team at PERSUIT®. His background is in data and analytics having served as a Senior Financial Analyst at Latham & Watkins’ pricing team. While at Latham he led various complex client pricing engagements. He also built the financial model and analytical program around Latham’s contingency investment portfolio. Prior to Latham, he spent a few years at Goldman Sachs as an analyst in the Compliance and Asset Management divisions. He is passionate about data and the stories and insights that they can reveal. When not deeply engrossed in numbers and clients, he enjoys backpacking and snowboarding.
Cassieoppia Snowden
Manager, Legal Advisory
Cassieoppia Snowden,Manager of Legal Advisory Cassieoppia currently serves as a Manager on the Legal Advisory team at PERSUIT®. She resides in Atlanta, Georgia, where she completed a B.A. in Financial Economics and a minor in French literature and language at Emory University before joining the workforce in various consulting and analytical capacities. In the years leading up to her joining PERSUIT®, Cassieoppia worked to innovate and stabilise multiple pricing departments in AmLaw 25 firms by way of streamlining billing practices, composing competitive pricing proposals, and leading annual rate negotiations. She attributes much of her expertise in the legal procurement market to her time at these firms, which enabled her to truly understand firm profitability and culture. She brings that experience to the Legal Advisory team in hopes to drive transparency for both in-house and outside counsel in this new value-based market!
Taylor Betancourt
Analyst, Legal Advisory
Taylor Betancourt, Legal Advisory Analyst Taylor is currently an Analyst on the Legal Advisory team at PERSUIT®. She has experience working in various AmLaw 50, AmLaw 200 and boutique law firms supporting practice group leadership, attorneys and clients within different areas of their Intellectual Property practices. She has served in conflicts and legal administration departments; assisted with IP system implementation, process improvement, practice management and financial profitability analysis to advance the practice’s business growth and success. Taylor is excited to use her law firm and IP background to encourage in-house legal departments to have better conversations with outside counsel when negotiating the market value of legal services. She is a native of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and currently resides in Maryland while working towards her Masters of Business Administration.
